New ambassadors unveiled

Lashings are delighted to announce our three new ambassadors for 2018. Representing Central London will be Manoj Oswal. Manoj is incredibly passionate about cricket and has played in teams competing in corporate tournaments both in England and India. He has played in successful sides playing in 6 different countries. Manoj has participated in the Middlesex and Surrey cricket leagues and now mainly participates in a global Amateur t20 league (LMS) with over 80000 players worldwide and over 10000 in UK. He has achieved some great accolades as a bowler in the global tournament, previously ranked 6th best bowler in the UK and in the top 50 globally! Manoj's two favourite personal cricket memories are batting with Herschelle Gibbs and getting a wicket with his third ball while bowling for Lashings. Tim Dunn also joins the team as our ambassador for Sussex and the Surrey borders.

Tim has been Chairman of Worthing CC for over 10 years and captained the club 1st XI in the Sussex Premier League and represented Sussex CCC at junior & intermediate levels. A qualified ECB Level 2 coach, Tim has worked at both club and county levels playing a pivotal role in the playing success of both junior and senior teams. In an administration capacity, Tim has worked to increase Worthing CC’s status within Sussex and has raised thousands of pounds in grants and sponsorship to develop facilities and improve participation in his club. He was the main driver behind a hugely successful Lashings event in 2016, which helped showcase Worthing CC to the local community and raise valuable funds. Tim also has 30 years of sales & marketing experience working for major corporates in the Insurance industry. Robin O'Grady becomes our man in Hampshire and Dorset. Robin, currently Vice-Chairman of Burridge CC, enjoyed many years as a player in local Hampshire cricket. He was 1st XI captain of Gosport Grammar School and captained the Hampshire Grammar Schools representative side in the late 60’s. He joined Alverstoke CC as an opening bowler but matured into a fine all rounder in the years that followed. Robin joined Burridge CC and went on to captain their 1st XI to promotion to County Division 1 of the Hampshire Cricket League. Burridge CC now play in the Southern Premier Cricket League. Robin finished his playing days with Flamingo CC and on his retirement became their Chairman for several years. He was the driving force behind Flamingo CC hosting the Lashings World XI during the 2007, 2008 & 2009 seasons and more recently Burridge CC in 2016. Robin also has 38 years of sales & marketing experience in financial services and investment management. As Head of Sales & Marketing at Williams de Broe, he agreed shirt sponsorship with the Lashings World XI and attended their first tour of Abu Dhabi in 2008. Covering Warwickshire and Leicestershire. is Ed Wilson. A self-confessed cricket fanatic, Ed has played over 400 games over the years mainly in the Warwickshire Cricket League, scoring 9,500 runs and taking 400 wickets. Based in Coventry He has worked in sales for the last 10 years. Ed is a Level 2 qualified coach and is the current Head Coach at Bulkington CC in Warwickshire, where he also helps the club attract grant funding etc Paul Hurworth is the new Lashings ambassador for Essex. Paul has played for his club Ardleigh Green CC since he was 11 years old. He has been a regular in the 1st team for the last ten years playing in the Essex Shepard Neame league. Over the years Paul has also played midweek cricket for the XL club as well as Chinghoppers. This progressed in the last couple seasons to Paul becoming an MCC member which has been a long standing ambition. Having a degree in sports coaching, Dong his ECB level 2 coaching badge was a natural progression, and now he assists training throughout all the age groups including the adult sides. Paul's background outside of cricket is nearly 12 years experience in the sports and leisure industry, in which he now run a health and nutrition business. We are delighted to welcome them all into the Lashings events team for 2018!
