Sponsors confirm continued commitment
Today (5th March 2008), Lashings World XI Chairman David Folb announced that all of the team's major sponsors have confirmed their continued commitment to Lashings for the coming season.
"I'm really happy that Natwest, Williams de Broe, Lombard, Surridge and Quicksilver are still on board with us" said Folb, "Quite simply, if the Lashings World XI didn't get the kind of support that we get from these guys, there's no way we would be able to continue. So, we're really lucky to have the kind of long term relationships that we've formed with these companies."
Representatives of Natwest, Williams de Broe and Lombard travelled as guests of Lashings to Abu Dhabi last week, attending the matches the Lashings World XI played against the Abu Dhabi CC Chairman's XI and the Etihad XI as VIP guests, as well as getting the chance to take the field themselves in a team made up of sponsors and journalists to face an Emirates Palace XI.
