DGS MENCAP Charity Golf Day report

£3893 was raised at the third DGS Mencap Charity Golf Day which took place on Friday 7th September on a bright and sunny day. Darenth Valley Golf Course in Shoreham hosted the event which attracted over 80 golfers. The competition on the day included prizes for Best Team which was won by the London Club Boys.

 

We were grateful to have the support of Lashings World XI who ran the auction in the evening with the evening hosted by comic Dave Lee MBE. Two Lashings World XI players also participated in the event - Chris Cairns and Chris Harris from New Zealand whose team managed to win the Best Team prize! We are told Chris Harris in New Zealand is the equivalent of David Beckham in the UK so we were very fortunate to have them there!
