"Best season ever" says Folb

 

Even though there are still some 16 games left to be played this year, Lashings World XI Chairman David Folb has announced that 2007 has already been, in his own words, the "best season ever" for the Lashings World XI.

 

Folb said, "The team is at an all time high at the moment, and we're experiencing an unprecedented high in enquiries for next year and beyond." He also praised the work of the "back room" staff, both at Lashings and at the events we have been to this year and said "The players have had a fantastic time this year, and have just got back from enjoying a great weekend at Usk CC even though the match was rained off and there wasn't even a ball bowled!"

 

He also had plenty to say about Dave Lee MBE and Scott "the voice" Charlton, the two commentators and MC's who are an integral part of the Lashings roadshow, entertaining the guests in the marquees and then the spectators with humour and professionalism.

 

Folb said, "It has been great having Dave Lee MBE on board, his professionalism has taken the Lashings World XI to a whole new level..." "...I cannot speak highly enough of Scott Charlton, "the voice of Lashings"! He has really stepped up to the plate this year and the players and I appreciate all the extra work that he has done behind the scenes to bring the Lashings roadshow to its current level."
