ORGANISERS behind Weymouth's international beach cricket festival have renewed their appeal for sponsors.
Project co-ordinator Jon Dixon said more contributors are still needed for the September extravaganza.
He also urged spectators wishing to attend the tournament luncheons to book their places soon to avoid disappointment.
The festival will feature two teams made up from Lashings World XI players and another made up of current first-class Asian stars.
Lashings currently boast former West Indies skipper Richie Richardson, England's Alan Mullally and New Zealand ace Chris Cairns on their books.
The event, which runs from September 2-5, will also feature a junior competition and a women's contest - providing Mr Dixon can get the necessary cash in place.
He said: "We're still looking for sponsors.
"I'm still talking to two or three other big firms about coming in.
"We need more contributions to make sure we break-even in terms of funding before we go ahead.
"It's so crucial that we sort out some more sponsors. A lot of things still need to be organised.
"We don't want this to be an amateurish effort. We want it to be good and look great."
Mr Dixon said tickets for the Weymouth Pavilion luncheons, at which guests will dine alongside Lashings stars, are selling quickly.
"More than 100 tickets have already gone for the Friday," he added.
"Local people who do want to come along do need to book fast."
