EX-PM IS MAJOR COUP FOR LASHINGS
WE are delighted to announce that Lashings will be playing two fixtures against the House of Comonns and Lord’s Cricket Team this year.
The first match takes place at the world famous Wormsley Cricket Ground, built by the late Sir John Paul Getty at his estate in Buckinghamshire, on Sunday July 15.
The former Prime Minister of Great Britain & Northern Ireland, Sir John Major will attend, where he’ll be able to renew acquaintances with his old friend John Redwood, the man who challenged him for the leadership of the Conservative party in 1995!
(Any suggestion that Sir John will be instructing Devon Malcolm to bowl a few short-pitched deliveries at Mr Redwood are, we are assured, entirely baseless).
A return match will then be held at Sutton Valence School in Kent, on Sunday September 9, scene of Lashings’ emphatic win over the same opponents last year.
Keep visiting www.lashings.co.uk for more news about fixtures in the coming weeks.
