CHARLTON DOUBLE-HEADER

LASHINGS have been having preliminary discussions with the Charlton Athletic Community Trust about a possible double-header later this year.

We're hoping to be able to play Charlton at both cricket and football, with the first fixture taking place some time in July before the "return" match is held in September.

Charlton's former keeper Rob Elliott, who is now with Newcastle United, has already expressed an interest in playing for Charlton's Community side - whether he's quite as keen if Courtney Walsh is bowling at him remains to be seen!
