GORDON'S ALIVE!

GORDON Greenidge has agreed a six-week deal to play for Lashings this summer.

The legendary West Indies batsman is back for another stint with the World XI, having made a series of appearances for Lashings over the past few seasons.

Gordon made 15 test centuries and 11 ODI hundreds for the great West Indies side of the 1970s and 80s, averaging over 44 in international cricket.

In other news, Lashings are in advanced negotiations with the government of Northern Cyprus over a major new sponsorship deal.

Chairman David Folb returned from the island on Friday after lengthy discussions with MPs and other officials and a deal looks iminent.
