The epitome of the tearaway fast bowler, Tino only knows one way to bowl, and that's with the pedal to the metal - he has aggression, confidence and passion in spades, and puts every ounce of energy he has behind every delivery he bowls. This energy and passion has two effects: one is the kind that sees him bowl at upwards of 90mph and has taken him to 12 tests and 11 ODIs... the other is the kind that sees the passion bubble over into frustration and puts him into the match referee's office - indeed it could be argued that it's also his inability to control his exuberance that's restricted him to 12 tests and 11 ODIs! His aggression is also evident in his batting, where his desire to whack every ball out of the park brought on the memorable sledge of "Mind the windows, Tino!" from Andrew Flintoff. A year with Lashings in 2007 has at least taught him how to bowl off a shortened run - mostly because he wasn't able to fit in his full approach on most of the grounds we played at last year! He still bowled searingly quickly at times though, and finished with 15 wickets at an average of 27. Most recently, frustrated at the lack of opportunities with the West Indies team, he threw in his lot with the Indian Cricket League, where he now plays for the Mumbai Champs.
